Visit was organized jointly by MFC from Poland as a regional network and the SEEP Network from the United States.
Participants, in  addition to representatives of the organizers - MFC and SEEP, were the representatives of Chinese, Indian and other networks and associations of microfinance institutions. The visit was organized as a part of three-day workshop, named "The role of networks in SPM", i.e. as the preconference event and it was held from 21-23 May 2009.

Specific goals referred to the understanding of the way of SPM promotion done by Network, followed by introduction to the SPM at the level of institution and introduction to various SP assessment tools, with special emphasis on the Quality Audit Tool (QAT). Workshop participants were divided into two groups, one of groups visited Agroinvest, and the other MDF. After the meeting with the Director, representatives of the Associations had the opportunity to talk to the staff who has been working directly on the application of different aspects of SPM (SP reporting results, conducting the social audit using QAT, the definition of SP fields in the client database, SP within the non-financial services, the application of SP goals at the level of Loan Officers, etc.). Then the participants summarized and exchanged information and findings gained through discussions with MDF staff and defined draft plans for coaching microfinance institutions from their own networks for the purpose of introducing SPM to their management performance.
