Bakery
Lazarević Miso was born in Serbia in Zlatibor and is our client from 2004. He runs a bakery on Zlatibor, which is the main family business, so his wife and daughter help in a bakery. Selling pastry is the only way for supporting the family Lazarević. MDF funded his business by micro-loans in four cycles. He plans the bakery expansion in the near future.
Chainsaw servicing
Drago Todorović is our client from the very beginning of MDF in 2001. He is now in his sixth loan cycle, which helped him to develop and improve his micro-business. He founded and runs the store for servicing and sales of motor saw in Nis. He came to southern Serbia as refugee from Croatia with his wife and two children in early nineties and managed to build their new life in Serbia.

Milk production
The Gunj family was first expelled from the Croatian municipality Vojnic. Mile and Milka Gunj joined the convoy of thousands of Serbs in 1995 together with their children Nikola and Vesna and their elderly parents. They lived in Gnjilane in Kosmet by 1999. They arrived to a village, near Kragujevac with nothing more than property in one bag.
Thanks to the loans of the Micro Development Fund, the Gunj family has regular income today by cow milk production, they fight poverty more easily and they look forward to finishing building their house.

"We have taken the loans in order to start living better. We couldn't take a loan from banks because we don't own any property. We are thus working hard to pay for the installments, and now we took a loan for the construction of a house", says Milka Gunj.
