MDF in the year 2008 achieved significant social results. Numeric goal of 30% of refugees and IDPs completely filled.

Financing start-up business, concerning the risks for such investment, was set to 12% and was achieved in a solid measure.

General rate of customers below the poverty line has dropped significantly in comparison to the previous years, which points to the growth of wider populations' living standard in the year 2008. Here is, anyway, present unequal situation per municipalities.

In view of poverty statistics, MDF apply National Poverty Line which amounted RSD 7,937 (€ 85) in 2008 according to consumer unit, which in fact relates to one adult person. That means that clients who were living, monthly, with less than RSD 7.937 (€ 85) are poor.

Analysis showed that 66% of clients who previously were below the poverty line managed to cross above the poverty line after repeated loan cycle.

As regards positive change, MDF may emphasize that 53% of clients increased their business capital for a minimum 10% in the repeated loan cycles.


Impact Research conducted in the year 2003

Micro Development Fund carried out research in order to identify the level of Micro Loan Program influence on economic and social status of clients` households, businesses and employment. Also, MDF wanted to know whether the characteristics of the loan program are accordant to the clients' needs.

It was concluded that micro-loan program offered possibility for self-employment through either the start up of new businesses or the development of existing ones, indeed.

And finaly it was concluded that the loan product characteristics were generally in accordance to the clients needs. These results indicate that the micro-loan program had positive impact on improvement of economic situation of clients and their family livelihoods.
